Last night I had a girl's night out at my home. The first hour of ladies arriving revolved around Riley. At one point he was caught like a celebrity while everyone whipped out their cell phones to take a picture of the "huge" dog. " Riley, look this way"

I have made the decision to not "show" my Shiloh. The top reason is that I am pretty busy and traveling to different shows is just not what I want to do with our free time. I spend a lot of time with Riley, and we do travel and get out and see the world but not as a show dog but as a pet. The people we meet along the way are not necessarily "dog" people, but there is something about a Shiloh Shepherd that makes everyones head turn. I think by "showing" Riley the pet to the general public, I am making strides in educating people about Shiloh's. In this blog I would like to concentrate on what makes Riley the ultimate pet.
